This systematic review evaluates the effect of massage therapy alone, or as a part of a package of care, on preventing pressure ulcers. No relevant randomized controlled trials were found that investigated massage therapy for the prevention of pressure ulcers. Therefore, no conclusions can be made at this time about the preventative affect of massage therapy for pressure ulcers.
