This systematic review evaluates the effect of non-pharmacological interventions in treating cancer pain. 10 articles are included in the review. Interventions in the reviewed studies included: massage (four studies), aromatherapy massage, physical therapy, TENS, acupuncture, wrapped warm footbath, relaxation, and imagery exercises. Findings indicate short term positive effects for massage, attention, TENS, and acupuncture for cancer pain, although more high quality research is needed.
